ARK023 Salt in the Wounds

A bleak crimson sky blisters with swirling clouds. As the storm edges closer, the horizon line disappears in darkness and dust fills my nose. Blinded, I shield my face, but it’s no use – I am being consumed by the whipping debris. The sound becomes deafening. At first a distant rumble, then an angry thrum, growling with a swelling, pulsing rage, while I cower, frozen in fear to the spot where surely I will die. Salt in the Wounds is a collection of 12 ominously pulsing cues by composer/producer Joseph Holiday, which fuse tense, organic tones with darkly foreboding synth pulses and brutal percussion.
